Privacy Policy
Last updated
Draft for review. This policy is a plain-English draft. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it, especially the section on sharing agent requests. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
This website (southfloridarealestatevoice.com) is South Florida Real Estate Voice, an independent publication about new-construction condominiums and townhomes in South Florida. It is not a real estate brokerage. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean South Florida Real Estate Voice. Questions about this policy: use the form on any page and say it is a privacy request.
What we collect
- What you type into a signup form: your email address, your first name if you give it, the development you pick and the interests you check.
- If you check the optional agent box: also your phone number and your message, and the fact that you asked to be connected with an agent (with the wording shown, the time and your IP address).
- Technical details sent with the form: the page you submitted from and the time you submitted it. The website host also processes standard server data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Visitor tracking and analytics. Every page loads a tracking script from GoHighLevel (HighLevel), the customer-relationship-management (CRM) service we use. It sets cookies in your browser and records the pages you view, when you view them, and basic details such as your browser, device, approximate location from your IP address and the page or ad that referred you. If you submit a form, that browsing activity may be linked to a contact record for you in our CRM. See "Cookies and visitor tracking" below.
Cookies and visitor tracking
Google Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service from Google. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your approximate location (from your IP address) and your browser and device type. We see this information in aggregate reports to understand how the site is used; when you submit a form, a "lead" event is recorded with only the development you picked, not your name or contact details. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google's browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Vercel Web Analytics. This site also uses Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our website host (Vercel). It does not use cookies. It counts page views in aggregate, with the page, referrer, country, and browser and device type. Visitors are not identified across sites or over time; Vercel uses a hash of the request that is discarded daily.
Ahrefs Web Analytics. This site also uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service from Ahrefs. It is designed to work without cookies. It counts page views and visits in aggregate, with the page, referrer, country, and browser and device type. Ahrefs processes this data under its own privacy policy.
The GoHighLevel tracking script works like a typical website analytics tool. It uses cookies (small files stored by your browser) to recognize repeat visits and to count page views. If you fill out a form, your submission and your earlier page views on this site may be connected to one contact record in our CRM. GoHighLevel processes this information for us as a service provider under its own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. The site still works without them. Blocking cookies may stop page views from being linked to you, but it does not stop the website host from processing standard server data.
How we use it
- To send you the email updates you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and if you unsubscribe we keep your address on a suppression list so we do not email you again.
- Only if you checked the agent box: to pass your request to a licensed real estate agent or brokerage so they can contact you about it (see "Who we share it with").
- To store your signup as a contact record in our CRM (GoHighLevel) and our lead database, and to understand which buildings readers follow.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run this site and our email — website hosting and cookieless page-view analytics (Vercel), website analytics (Google Analytics and Ahrefs), our lead database (Notion), email delivery and our newsletter subscriber list (Resend), and our CRM (GoHighLevel) — only so they can do that work for us.
- A licensed real estate agent or brokerage, only if you checked the agent box. We share your name, email, phone, the development you picked and your message with the agent we connect you with, who may contact you by phone or email about your request. We may be paid for these introductions. Once shared, the agent handles your information under their own privacy practices.
- When the law requires it.
If you only subscribe to email updates, we do not share or sell your contact details. We do not send text messages.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email updates with the link in any email.
- Ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, using the form on any page.
- If you were connected with an agent, you can also tell that agent to stop contacting you.
Security and retention
We use reputable providers and limit access to your information. No system is perfectly secure. We keep signup records while you stay subscribed and for as long as we need them afterwards, then delete them.
Children
This site is for adults interested in real estate. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Other websites
Pages on this site link to developer websites, news coverage and public records. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
